Chippewa Valley Renaissance Faire Announces Top Entertainment!

(Chippewa Falls, WI) Despite the weather, a sure sign of spring is the opening of the Chippewa Valley Renaissance Faire! With less than 3 weeks until Opening Day May 21st, Executive Director John Mills is pleased to announce the Dream Team of Renaissance entertainment !

Renaissance Magazine ranked us #4 in the country last year among first year shows, explains Mills. We have a lot of momentum, and we strive to over-deliver. Were kicking off the season with Puke & Snot for the first two weekends! Mills comments, The longest running comedy team on the circuittheyre hilarious. And thats just the beginning. Mills goes on to say, We have 7 stages bursting with entertainment, plus music, magic, and street performers everywhere. The first 3 weekends will also feature the genius of Gabriel Q, a street performer best known for his Queen of Hearts character and Baby Jester. The daily joust will be performed by the Hanlon-Lees Action Theater, recognized as the finest jousting team in the country. Headling their show is Taso Stavrakis, one of the original founders of the company. He has gone on to do stunt work for many Hollywood films, and this will be one of the few Renaissance faires where Taso will still perform.

The Tortuga Twinsall three of themare coming to Chippewa Falls for the final 2 weekends of the Faire. Their special brand of high energy madcap entertainment is a huge crowd favorite on the Renaissance circuit.

And speaking of favorites, local favorite Pizpor the Magician will also perform on Fathers Day weekend, our final weekend. says Mills.

Of course entertainment is just one aspect of the faire. The Artisan Marketplace is sold out this season, filled with hand crafted pottery, stained glass, silk scarves, leather goods, Renaissance clothing, jewelry and other finery, metalwork and more. And for those who come for the food, Mills assures us that the turkey legs will be bigger and juicier than ever!
